Behaviour at Mayfield
We are very proud of the fact that behaviour is excellent at Mayfield.
Staff, children, parents and carers all work together to ensure that everyone is treated equally with kindness and respect and that school provides a happy and calm environment for learning.
Our Mayfield values underpin the language which we use with the children regarding their behaviour.
We understand that behaviour, wellbeing and learning are interlinked and we have a bespoke Behaviour Curriculum which runs alongside an Emotional Literacy/ Wellbeing curriculum to ensure that children are taught about the expectations and that they are supported to articulate their feelings and regulate their emotions.
We are currently developing a new Therapeutic Thinking approach to behaviour at Mayfield but we are already on this journey with the new curriculums in place.
