Progress Report October 2017
Eleven months to go before we move in...and counting!
The building work continues to make good progress. The enormous drill has been working hard drilling down up to 21 metres for the pylons to go in! The workmen have uncovered the old foundations to what appears to be an old brick making factory, they even found the remains of the kiln!
Soil is being trucked in and out, sometimes with the aim to build up an area so that the heavy machinery can be ridden over it.
It is a fascinating site and I know that the children and parents have been enjoying watching the diggers and trucks moving to and fro over the area.
Ms Evans and I now have a pair of steel-toe-capped boots and our hard-hats - all regulation wear - and will be on and off the site to see the progress first hand.
The builders now have the information they need to widen the path at the side of the school and will begin work on this shortly.
More updates to follow.....
