|What are the things that make Mayfield unique?||
The aspects of school most commented upon by visitors and parents are the welcoming and friendly atmosphere, the behaviour of the children and the dedication of the staff to ensure every child reaches their potential. Children make really good progress at Mayfield.
We are lucky enough to be moving into a wonderful new building in August 2018 so our building will match our ambition for our children!
|What is the ethos of the school?||
Our school is welcoming, caring, safe and supportive. Children (and staff) are happy and enjoy coming to school. Our parents and carers describe us as a small school with a strong community (family) spirit. Our ethos embodies our mission statement - Striving Together for a Brighter Future - we work in partnership with our school community to ensure the best outcomes for all our children.
Children learn in an environment of mutual trust and respect. Teachers create classroom environments that are conducive to effective learning; calm, purposeful, support risk-taking and encourage cooperation and creativity.

|What is behaviour like at Mayfield?||
We have a very clear behaviour policy and children are aware of expectations from when they start with us. All children sign up to the Mayfield Promises when they come to our school. These promises were produced in collaboration with the children and reflect our consistently reinforced values.
