Mayfield is an inclusive school.  We create a caring, friendly and nurturing environment where all children can thrive socially, personally and academically.  We work in partnership with our parents and carers to improve the outcomes for all our children.

Our SENCO is Ms Thomas.  She can be contacted on 020 85759885.

Children who speak English as an additional language

We have a trilingual Teaching Assistant who supports our Somali, Arabic and Polish community.  Coffee mornings are held regularly led by our teaching assistant who shares key information with parents and carers and supports them to better help their child's learning at home.

We have a comprehensive induction programme for children who arrive at Mayfield speaking little or no English.  This high quality support provides a positive environment in which children thrive and many make rapid progress.

If your child is experiencing difficulties at school please speak with a member of staff so that we can find the best way to support them.
